This panoramic photograph of Seattle, Washington from Blakeway Worldwide Panoramas was taken by photographer Christopher Gjevre It features a spectacular dusk view of the city skyline with the 605 foot Space Needle, built for the 1962 World's Fair. In the distance is snow-capped Mount Rainier. At an altitude of 14,410 feet, is the highest peak in the Cascade Mountain Range. To the right is Puget Sound, connecting Seattle to the Pacific Ocean. The largest city in the Pacific Northwest, it is the region's cultural, commercial, transportation, and industrial hub. Seattle's enormous port is the main link with oil-rich Alaska and is important in trade with Asia.
